Question About Delta Community College and Process Tech AS

I am considering changing careers. Does anyone know about the placement rate of the Process Technology program at Delta in Monroe.
I was hoping to do some sort of Co-op with a plant while finishing the program.

Have you ever worked in a plant? Make sure you have experienced that work environment before changing careers. I decided to get an associate's in instrumentation without ever working in a plant. Just went off of what experienced people had to say about it. I ended up hating the plant environment.

Granted, I don't have any experience directly at the plant. I have been working in construction. However I know the money is great ($120K +).
I just don't want to invest in the program if it doesn't give me hands experience with a company.

The money is definitely great if you can handle doing shift work. I know a lot of PTECH students do internships towards the end of their schooling. If you can get an internship it should turn into a permanent gig as long as you do what is asked of you.

This definitely isn't true where I work. We have had some of our interns get jobs within the plant, but some of the better ones didn't make it through testing and interviewing.
