So you call a timeout and then?????

You gather with your assistants on the court (doing your best impersonation of Monty Williams) for the duration of the timeout, all while your 5 players sit on the bench staring in space until the buzzer sounds to return to the court.
The word "coach", when applied to Johnny and his staff, is at best a loosely used term.

does anyone know why this happened or if a play had already been called? JJ and the rest of the coaches talked outside of the huddle what looked like the entire timeout - no contact with the players.
5 seconds on the shot clock for a huge possession and garbage happens.
it looked like Henry Shortess was talking to the starters during the whole timeout, stepping in for the head coach #confused

I'm not sold on JJ being a good coach nor will I probably ever be.
It's pretty set in stone to me the guy can recruit some great players but has absolutely no idea how to coach them up in critical situations. The constant losing to vastly inferior teams is what really shows the poor coaching.
