3-star prospect looks to be a 4-year player who will be the best PG in the league when he's a senior.
His last 7 games:
He's averaged over 20 minutes a game and has turned the ball over only ONE time, dished out 12 assists, and shot 41% from 3. most people thought we picked him up to land Simmons; turns out, we got ourselves a damn fine PG

Not sure about him running that offense but we need to try to develop it, because the dude shoot can shoot and he always seems calm and in control on the court.
I swear his best shooting spot is a few feet behind the 3-point arc.

It's really uncanny to see the poise he displays as a true freshman. The stats you just pointed out should be a great reason he continues to see MORE playing time eating away at Gray's minutes. On the contrary, Gray has continued to NOT show poise that we need at the PG position for this team to make a run and be successful into March. Give Jones credit because Gray was struggling tonight and he gave the minutes to Patterson, deservingly soooo!! #GeauxTigers Let's hear that chant! AND its SUCKS....to be a Florida Gator!!!!

He's got such a smooth stroke. Love watching him play. He will only get better.

Patterson is a smooth operator who plays within the offense. He knows his role, and plays within that role, and that is a big plus for this team now.
When he is set, it's lights out on the three.
The press don't bother him either.
Oh, and he will be here for a few years.

Patterson should start over Gray. His more composed with press and his defense is very good. His rotation in defense is very good and does not look confused. Sorry to see Gray get outplayed

Every game, it sure looks like LSU made out like bandits in getting JP to LSU. He's far better than his 3* rating, and will only improve. A smart and talented team player, that knows unit based basketball.
