what are the best ones "nothing too tough, the wife will be with me" but we are wanting to do some outdoor things. And i know there are tons of walking trails to small waterfalls and such. Which are the best ones, if you had to pick a couple to do. thanks

we are also looking into biking cades cove, and mayb renting a side by side and trail ride one day

Go to hikinginthesmokys.com Grotto falls is very nice and only 2.6 miles. It has all the trails their lengths, elevation rises, difficulty as well as pictures.

Hiking is not my thing but the kids wanted to do it. We did Grotto Falls. The best thing about it is that its uphill to the falls and all downhill back. As you get worn out you get to turn around and walk downhill.

Didn't know they allowed that in the Natl. Park, it's been a while since I've been though.

Agree ... Grotto is a pretty easy hike and just ouside of Gatlinburg. Laurel Falls and Mingo Falls are two of the better falls in the park. Abrams Falls in Cades Cove is also nice.

Ramsey Cascades is nice, but a long drive and walk. The good part is I didn't see anyone on the out and back trail. Don't climb the falls.
