JUCO vs Prep School

I have known friends from high school that have gone both routes. If you live in a state where JUCO is a big deal, i.e. Mississippi, Texas, some of the western states, then it becomes easier for guys to go JUCO. There are not too many prep football schools that are really that good. This is how it would go by logic but at 18 year old kid you never know.
If all I guy needs is an ACT score or like one high school credit go to a good Prep school. If there is a lot of work that needs to be done or if the player is not one of the most recruited players out there should go JUCO. JUCO gets a bad rep it isn't that bad. You never know what direction a school tells a kid to go. Avery Peterson (Johnson) went to Hargrave a respected Prep football program. Josh McNeil is going JUCO. It really comes down to the individual player's situation. I believe this was related to football, if it was basketball that changes the whole deal. Hope this helps
