family wants to do a deep sea fishing trip in mid-july while in gulf shores. any recs on charters?
also, i hear red snapper season may be ending early (around july 10?) but it could change. any word on that? we're not going until the week afterwards. if snapper season is closed, is it even worth it go?

Go to San Roc Cay Marina down in Orange Beach and talk to a few captains and decide which one is not a dick and choose your liking.

Zeke's also has a big fleet I just prefer dealing with San Roc Cay up to you really both will work for your needs.

Been on several boats from Zeke's Landing in Orange Beach. They've got a great setup going... very well organized. No complaints.
Here is a link to their Charter Fleet:

We went on one last year out of the North side of Terry Cove, cant remember the name of it but it was behind the Moorings Condos. We liked it, just too many people on the damn boat.

The best advice I can give you is spend your time at the nice beach or pool and enjoy the view. If you want to go fishing make a trip to Grand Isle LA. Lots of good guides. Fishing is not even comparable, to me a waste of time and money beach and pool not so much.
