Just saying, 2 weeks ago pretty much this whole fricking board touted this lineup as "The best in LSU History." Some even touted them as being able to compete with low end major league teams.

Once again....Complete Joke.

Yes and a good number....but the BIG issue is 5 of our everday starters are below .300 and some way below.

I am a regular at the games and have been for years. Right now the team is just not playing fundamental baseball. We are having mental lapses in baserunning, in the field, and a number of the hitters are not adjusting to where the pitchers are locating the ball. If we had not had two great pitching performances this weekend, we would have been swept.

We are strggling in all aspects. Our defense is pitiful as well. Skips teams were always strong on D and clutch As far as landry, he is trying to hit it out the park. DJ LeMahieu used to hit to right a lot, I haven't seen that inside out swing as much lately. I don't know what is going on there.

skip had it a lot easier than PM. Skip had 6 series until SEC games started.

We honestly dont really know how good our team is until about mid-way through the SEC. Of course if you did that last year..we sucked. So you never can tell.

But guys we faced some damn good pitching this weekend and won 2/3 with the one loss still being close. Can't be too upset with that.

And I dont know how to explain guys like Mitchell, Ochinko, and Lemahieu doing so well while guys we expected to lead us (Dean, Schimpf, Gibbs) have struggled so much.

Don't get me started on Leon..I mean how many strike outs did he have total this week!? If he doesn't improve at the plate in the next few weeks I can see someone pushing him for his spot. Maybe moving Mitchell to Center and having someone like Mahtook getting in there somewhere.

I'm still pretty pleased so far though by this team, and have faith they will improve. I believe this coaching staff can get it done!
