Looking for recommendations on overnight summer camps for a 9 and 6 yr old. Would like to get them out of their comfort zone, and meet some kids from some different backgrounds. Also somewhere that's not 98 degrees all summer. TIA

Not up north, but check out camps Khadalea for girls and the corresponding Camp Chosatonga for boys in Brevard, NC. My kids loved it. The website:

Boys or girls or Coed?
We’ve done a couple generations now in northern wisconsin summer camps. They are awesome. And as a south Louisiana family it’s wonderful to have an entire network of people based primarily in Chicago/Minneapolis/Milwaukee.

I liked camp Cove Valley in Pennsylvania. Me and my siblings went for a few summers. A Christian camp ran by Mennonites
