Dwarf palmettos

I am working on a landscape plan and have considered including a decent amount of dwarf palmettos in bed plantings around the house. The architectural style of the house has a low country vibe to it so I think it would look pretty cool, and they seem to grow well here. I have read that they’re very difficult to remove if you ever want to though.
Does anybody have these in your landscaping? What are your thoughts?

Landscape up lighting underneath palmettos cast a really cool shadow on walls.

there’s a few on my property they look cool and they play well with others. They don’t transplant easily from the wild though they have a deep fleshy taproot and it’s hard to get it all.
if you want one gone they aren’t that hard to kill
the ones I have also flower every year

Thanks for the insight. I didn't think about the lighting, but that's a really cool idea.
I also didn't know they flowered. Both of those deals make them more of an attractive option to me.

I always equate palmettos with rattlesnakes.

These are common in my neighborhood. I wouldn’t hesitate to plant them, as I’ve never seen any pest (insect or mammal) harm them. I believe they are also extremely long lived…think 60-70 years.
