Their stadium holds like 41,000 and for their 10-1 team the last game drew 14,000. As I recall, their season attendance average was like 18,000+. I don’t know what’s going on over there but they have a lot bigger problems than worrying about who gets the LSU gig.

Bingo

They played in two ESPN nationally televised home game this year, and there were Louisiana high school playoff games this past week that had more attendance. That is a fact.

And only judging by the comments posted in this thread about what the radio hosts said, they are completely clueless on the landscape of big boy college football. Who’s opinion on Brian Kelly will I take, guys like Kirk Herbstreit and Barrett Sallee who cover the sport for a living? Or two Lafayette radio kids who think their knowledge of ULM and South Alabama gives them a good opinion on Notre Dame and SEC football?

Almost 500,000 people live in the metropolitan Lafayette area.. for them to draw only 14,000 fans for the last home game of the season when they are 10-1 is truly embarrassing for their program and should be very troubling to both their fan base and their administration

I don’t know but it kind of leads me to believe that not all was peachy with their fans and Napier or they have some other significant problem.
