In fairness the south side has plenty of bad areas. The Austin, Garfield Park, Humboldt Park, North Lawndale area is the worst and that’s the west side.
Garfield Park has 37k residents and 68 homicides this year. That’s insane. Add in 321 wounded.
That would be like Baton Rogue having over 400 murders.
Meanwhile Lincoln Park has 70k residents and zero homicides
