Whew. So happy it’s not severe. I’ve had plantar fasciitis before and it wasn’t that bad. Had to stretch my foot a lot. A tennis ball will be her best friend.

For Sami I haven’t heard anything but I rewatched the meet this morning and during floor she used both hands to help KJ get the stick grown out of her hair (LOL) and there’s no sign of a brace on her so maybe it’s not too bad?? Compared to other injuries where the gymnast can’t return to the floor or comes out with a sling or something like that….

Plantar fasciitis is not something that happens in an instant, though. I thought she injured herself during warmups, not just that she was having a flare up and decided to play it safe. You don’t injure yourself into having that. I’m a bit confused on that.

As for Sami, it is possible that whatever happened just really hurt but turned out to be no big deal. We’ve all stubbed a toe and swore we were done for only to be fine an hour later.
