You'll get a wide range of answers, but here's a list of some that will get mentioned.
Saw's - 3 locations. The Juke Joint location is my favorite. Pork N Greens plate is great.
Rodney Scott's - whole hog, so it's a bit different. Opinions vary. I like it, but know several people that don't.
Martin's - Brisket is good, but a bit inconsistent IMO.
Miss Myra's - great smoked chicken with white sauce if that's your thing.
There are several Jim N Nick's locations, and a few Moe's. Both are decent, but not really unique to Birmingham.
