I was shocked at how much Detroit reminded me of New Orleans when I was up there. I mean Nola is not at that level, and Detroit has had a few things trending up with the Quickens Loan guy trying to help the city but yeah, Nola can't get out of its own way. But that is the entire state for that matter. Would have been really cool to see the city back in the day.

Detroit has so much more going for it at this point. Downtown is being revitalized. Violent crime is slowly leaving that area (but obviously still bad elsewhere). Major rebuilding projects going on.
