I had a total 9 years ago at age 60. I had cortizone shots every 6 months or so for years for the pain until the shots didn't help. Bryan Griffith in BR did mine. He has been doing these for many many years and imo is the best. I have had great results and wish I had done it years before. It is EXTREMELY important to rehab it correctly or you can have serious problems. I recommend it. Good luck.

Had total left knee last November. I was 53. Wish I had done it sooner. Would seriously encourage you to do robotic. Much more precise, which usually means less recovery pain and shorter rehab/recovery time. I can't say I never have pain, but it is light years better than it was before surgery. (I had had 4 scopes on that knee in previous years trying to prolong need for replacement. Scopes gave me more trouble than replacement.)

Dr. Jeffrey Garrison in Alexandria is the best!
