re: What is your favorite meal that your Grandmother cooked?

My grandmother doesn’t cook as much anymore since my grandfather passed but here a few things that I love that she cooks:

Roast rice and gravy, fried okra, English peas and cornbread
Spaghetti and meatballs - and it’s crazy how simple hers is - an Italian would probably stroke out the ingredients.
Chicken casserole
Fried chicken
Fried squash
Fried catfish
Her version of chili
Tomato steak and gravy

I try to sit down with her after meals and pick her brain. She has no actually written recipes.
