There will be no point in trying to rationalize with the left, they have reprobate minds and their followers are mostly too indoctrinated or dependent to convince otherwise.
Leftist governments always, without fail, start stealing property from and killing people who resist their agenda. Anyone who thinks that is hyperbolic should stop what they are doing and read history.

Might be beyond that, M. "Behold, I will send them great delusion that they will believe a lie". Could be that without the Spirit of Jesus mitigating one's perception (whatever the Empirical psychological/biological dynamic), one will be blinded as to real Truth. I know very rational and intelligent folk who've left the rational/objective reality; good and faithful friends in fact. But not Christians or people of Faith. That seems to be a marker. Confirmation Bias and Cognitive Dissonance nws.
