The housing market is stupid right now. However I lived simply and bought 2 houses by age 31 both of which I put 20% down. I had kids at the time and had the first one by the time I was 26. I also send them to really good schools in an expensive city. How did I do it? And honestly I am only a year older than being a millennial.

1. I worked all the time. Even if it wasn’t the job of my dream I was working.
2. I always buy used, simple autos.
3. I don’t go on tons of expensive vacations.
4. I saved my money so that when the opportunity to buy the house I wanted appeared I could strike quickly. I also bought an ordinary home in need of major repairs and renovation that I did myself because I am a man.

Priorities are the key. Go make it happen.
