I mean its pretty fricking simple. It has nothing to do with "just because they are women". Why do people like the NBA?

There are a lot of people tied to a team through family. They grandpa might have been a huge... IDK Boston fan then their daddy and then its something they all share together.. Its a tradition thing. Its an established league

Then.. If you watch the NBA, it really is amazing how good some of the players are and it seems like there are more and more players coming into the league who are really good. The average NBA player today is much better than the average player 20 years ago. Players are becoming more committed to keeping up with their body, eating right, etc.

The WNBA is like watching a pickup game in PE. You are a few people who are obviously much better than all of the other players who suck.

And I am not saying the women suck because they obviously have to have true athletic ability, but I don't know if they commit themselves the way a lot of NBA players do. And you can't just force shite on people. Its the real world. If people don't enjoy the product you can't make them. And the owners have no interest in operating in the red.

There was a time, when the NBA first started, when the players didn't get paid much at all, but then as it became more popular and it appealed to advertisers it grew.

Back then players made a decision to play because they liked the game. They worked during the off season, but they made a decision to play. If you don't like what they job is paying then.. Go into another industry where you can make more money. But the only way to get paid more is to make the product better.
