I was watching the aTm vs. miami game and laron byrd made a catch and the announcer said that LSU really wanted him. I thought LSU didnt offer him. I was just curious.

Seems like they dont do their research very well. The guy on the sideline i think his name was jack arut(dont know if that is spelled right) called miami's back up jacoby.

They just assume that if someone is from Louisiana on a roster like Miami, Oklahoma, FSU, etc. that LSU must have offered him. It's just the way it goes.

well, I think we did somewhat want him but the numbers couldnt work out and we didnt offer

It's well known that we offered Molton because he came and performed at our camp and did very well and Byrd did not. Had he come, maybe things would be different.
I like Byrd a lot of hope he does well but do these announcers just make stuff up when a certain players name comes up? Jack Arute, like so many other ESPN/ABC broadcasters, is from the northeast and football below Kentucky doesn't exist for the most part.
