Will any digital antenna work outdoors for tailgating.

I’ve got an digital antenna that I use for local channels. Looks sort of like this…
Curious I anyone know how one of these “indoor” antennas will work outdoors for tailgating. Are the traditional “rabbit ears” better? Or will this work.
It has a 40mi radius range btw.

As long as you are within range of the station it will work fine. Just point it in the right direction.

Thanks. That’s what I figured.
It’s a multi-directional so I should be good.

The higher you have it the better reception you will receive. I suggest attaching it to a long wooden stick to raise it up.

This is the answer. I tied mine to a painters extension pole and tied that to my tent lifting the antenna probably 15 to 17 feet above the ground. You may need additional cables due to distance.
No problems catching CBS.

I do something similar with my back porch TV. I bought one of the flat types pictured, and I have a longer Coax cable that I run outside and clip it up on my gutters when I'm watching broadcast TV out there. It is on the second floor of my house on my screened porch, so about 20 feet off the ground and it catches almost everything in Birmingham. A little trouble getting stuff like CW and PBS channels, but I'm not watching those. It is always Fox, NBC, CBS, or ABC for football or golf.
