The Gun Club is probably my real favorite. They had that L.A. sound tinged in a bit of cow punk.

Stiff little Fingers.
Didn’t you do a show on KLSU?
I realize punk crosses many genres.

The Dictators - "(I Live For) Cars and Girls" (1975)
NYC's Dictators were the link between The NY Dolls and The Ramones. Their first album is a classic.

My first year I did a late night show 3-6am on saturday mornings.....in the old stadium studio.... but then did the local music show on Friday evenings for a couple of years.

We listened to a show on Sunday evenings. Approx 9-11. Great show. Late 80’s. Opened my eyes to all kind of new stuff.

There were a lot of good DJs with a lot of music knowledge back then. Not sure what KLSU plays these days

I spent a lot of time picking through LPs at Deadly Records. I was at LSU from 84-88. In The J School. Worked at KLSU doing news. I sucked though, purely rip and read.

When I was there, I remember the studio was in the basement of the J School. 30+ years so the memory is kinda murky
