Vick would have done in both college and the NFL in a modern offense

The counter to that is that modern defenses are much more adept at handling mobile QBs.

Vick never had a RPO option. Lamar gaa surpassed what i thought he could do but Mike with the play calling today would be crazy and his % would be much higher imo.

All of that said he would need a coach to know what he is doing and other players to be built around the O.

Kind of like Mahomes, his coach and skill players take him to another level. Players are running free all over the field.

That's a good point. And with him running I Form play action most of his career the defense didn't have a spy and played a lot of man coverage so when he did take off the defense didn't have a chance. I'm not saying Lamar Jackson doesn't have this but the thing with Vick wasn't just his insane speed it was his natural running ability. Vick wasn't huge but he was strong and had a low center of gravity, he was able to get out of tackles, put a hand on the ground and stay up, throw stiff arms, etc like a RB. Any time he kept the ball in a modern offense he'd no longer just be a mobile QB, he'd be a 6'0 210lb RB with 4.3 speed

Add that to a huge arm in an offense that's not turning his back to the defense on under center play action passes, easier reads, an easier route tree to throw to, etc. One thing Lamar Jackson can't do is drop deep and sling a ball 75 yards on a 9 route, Vick could do that with just a flick. Like somebody else said it would have been video game stats
