Your point was we were planning to keep it simple, let the make shift OL do what they could and because our D was much better than MCNeese’s O we would be fine.

That’s the basic plan we have used for years now when we play these this games. Basic football and let our size and strength take over.

The problem though is fir much if the game our makeshift OL couldn’t handle the McNeese DL so that we could run the ball like we wanted. There’s no doubt that O wanted to run the ball way better than we did.
That should be the biggest takeaway. Our OL not handling the McNeese front.
The other stuff (dropped passes, QB play, TB play) is a cause for concern too, but unless the OL does better, we aren’t going to be very good. We need to run the ball, we can’t go full air raid. We need to keep the D honest and in two games we have not.
