Do you want to guess the odds of losing all of the bellwether counties but 1, and still winning Potus? Go ahead, take a stab at it.

Its A fun little fact but not proof of anything. And is even supported by statistical information as to why.

oklahogjr already linked a 538 article on this subject, but since the only response he got was a picture of a room full of Chinese sitting at computers (all were voting, of course), I thought I'd giive the gist of the article for those who might be interested.

There were 35 bellwether counties before 2016. 16 of those counties voted for Hillary and therefore dropped off the list. The 19 counties that remained were strongly Republican.

In 2020, 18 of these 19 “bellwether counties” voted for Trump. Just one — Clallam County, Washington — voted for Biden.

Those 18 counties are strongly white, non college-educated voters that favored Trump in 2016 and continued to favor Trump in 2020.

Is that really that hard to believe?
