re: 90% of us will all be mandated one way or the other So just prepare yourself

I live in Atlanta and work at our corporate office. My position requires me to be in Charlotte about twice a quarter. I usually drive my own car for the 5 hour trip. I also need to be in Austin, Dallas, and Houston about once a quarter. If they mandate for flights, I have already planned on renting a car in Atlanta with unlimited milage and driving there for a week to cover all 3 locations. Leave on Saturday and drive 7 hours on Saturday and 7 on Sunday. Hit all 3 locales and drive home the next weekend. I report direct to our CEO and he will support this adjustment. Probably will do the same for my quarterly visits to our Orlando office. Drive down on a Sunday and work 3 days and drive home on Thursday.

I won’t mind driving and the rental and fuel is expensed anyway so it’s nothing out of pocket.

The only vacation change will be not going to Kauai in the summers. We will miss the place but we have been 9 times and I can live without. Longboat Key and Anna Maria Island are plenty fine if that’s is to be the extent of our travel for vacation.
