My amateur analysis is that Pentagon and their backers are clearly setting this up for State Department to take the fall. I think it will be Blinken that gets the axe.
Cotton was taking shots on Fox just now and Petraus was backing Austin and Milley hard. Tells me Milley and Austin will have bipartisan support and this will be positioned as a "military doing the best they can given the State Department and Biden put them in a disastrous situation" which is very easy narrative for people to get behind.
Just my opinion though. I say Blinken will be the fall guy.

They all are going to need to be replaced. they can't be effective after this.
They are replaceable. Unfortunately we are stuck with Biden for the next 3.5 years

If this turns out to be true then Blinken is gone and congress should begin drafting articles of impeachment for Whispering Joe.
