Yep. They love Americans. The British, not so much. Worked there from 2013-2016. Well, not actually THERE...we landed there then took a Dash 8 north about an hour to Cabinda, then choppered offshore. I always said I'd go back in a heartbeat if the chance ever arose and just so happened to get an email yesterday about an open consulting position.
It always made me chuckle when I walked out of the airport in Luanda and looked at that 3-story KFC...lol.
