re: Taliban completely surrounds airport, establishes checkpoints

If there is any truth to the reports about AC-130s on constant station over Kabul then our troops have some pretty massive air to ground back up. I am assuming of course that it is AC-130 gunships.(spooky) if that is the case those aircraft can pretty much suppress any force movement in an open area like an airport. Between the 20mm Gatling gun type guns to a 105mm cannon they can lay down some serious fire.
