I did do it with Photoshop, and I have some nub questions.
1. How did you host it so it shows?
and
2. How should I embed something on it? Just throw my initials as some text on there? or some type of water mark?

I can answer this one for you.
On your ImageShack link, click and copy the Direct link, then paste it in a Message box, highlight the link address, then click img box to the right of the Message box, then click Preview button down below to see how it looks, and if looks OK click Submit

In Photoshop, once I have merged my layers and saved it as gif, jpg or whatever - Under the "File" dropdown there is a "File Info" button.
I usually only fill out the basic stuff - image name, my screen name and initials, keywords (this helps it get noticed on google image search, etc...), but most importantly fill out the "creation date" so when it is uploaded for the very first time - a timeline is established. Even if it's not copyrighted - the "not specified" license option would require somebody to contact you and ask you if it's copyrighted (sp?) before they can "legally" use it for their own puposes....
Most of the stuff I post on here is for fun and I don't care where it ends up or if I get credit for it. If I care enough to put my (screen)name on the front of it - I usually add the file info.
If you have Firefox go to the Charles Scott Juggernaut image I did with the Auburn wall. Right-click on it and save it with .txt extension instead of .jpg and also change the filetype from JPEG to all files. Then open it in notepad. All the file info is embedded in the code.
Hope this helps.
