Who else had a VHS tape loaded and ready to record when a video that you like came on MTV? And the recording would be missing the first two or three seconds of the video because of the time it took for the VCR to kick in?
The same went for cassettes and the radio.
I remember when Beavis and Butthead first came on and all the pearl-clutching it caused amongst the parents out there. I watch it now sometimes on Pluto TV and that show is very tame compared to 80% of the crap they show on prime time these days.
That’s not saying much.
