They had more than 5 good years. The station definitely changed, but i watched the channel starting from around '92, and they came out with some pretty good stuff. Liquid Television readily comes to mind.

Five years is about how long the original VJs were there. For people that grew up with the channel, those years are the best/most nostalgic.
