You said you were a "truther". Does that mean you are not anymore, and what changed your mind if so? I am not a "truther" but I don't believe the govt report. I'm somewhere in the middle of this whole thing.

At one point I was into 9/11 controlled demolition, Q-threads, etc.

For 9/11 it was that I could never back up the conspiratorial claims people make by looking at empirical evidence.

It’s the actual attack and the theories surrounding those events that we have obvious proof of that in my mind cannot be overturned. Every theory out there about controlled demolitions or CGI planes is easily debunked by just keeping an open mind and digging into the physics and construction involved. Doing so, you emerge understanding much more about the world around you and it was a fascinating trip for me.

Mind you, I emerged from my 9/11 truther period by the time I graduated high school. The Q stuff hooked me after I left college because I couldn’t understand why left-winged politicians did what they did and said what they said. I had faith that Trump and the good guys were taking down the “cabal” and that the pedophiles and oligarchs were being removed from power.

I emerged from that luckily around 2018 when so many things the Q threads talked about were just completely batshit insane and had no basis in reality and was clearly being pushed by people that had no understanding of physics or technology.

I still believe in Big Pharma, JFK theories, and sometimes I can dig Pearl Harbor and 9/11 theories.

The one I’m fully convinced of is the 2003 invasion of Iraq and I’ll die fully believing that the US Gov fabricated false evidence to stuff the pockets of defense contractors and the politicians that were working for them.

So, my point is. There’s a spectrum of conspiracy that is fine to believe in but once you past the demarcation line you begin to damage your head and life.

Not believing all of the government reports about 9/11 isn’t believing in a conspiracy theory, in my opinion. It is simply maintaining a healthy level of skepticism for a system (the government) which has been proven to carry out or plan conspiratorial acts to deceive the public before (Gulf of Tonkin).

At this point I’ve come to accept that it’s very rare for people in positions of power to actually care about their constituents or citizens and that has been proven throughout history. There is no perfect government system, there is no perfect economic theory, and there are no perfect people. Most people in power are selfish and greedy just as most normal people are. It’s just in our nature to gather and conserve as many resources as we can. The people that are generous and give much away are usually never ones to achieve and attain positions of power.

I’m damn near the point of nihilism and if it wasn’t for my faith that there is a God (which is fleeting some days), I would be a constant wreck everyday. I just try to live my life in my own world where I care for my family, friends, and my SO and control what I can control. I know I likely won’t ever be immensely successful in my life but a well-lived, humble life is all I ask for. I know this isn’t what you asked for but it is deeply intertwined to how a deep belief in conspiracy religion almost ruined my life.
