I never got the Jefferson hate. Almost every quarterback under Miles was underdeveloped and utilized poorly.

I get the frustration (he frustrated me plenty, too!), but he's top 10 at LSU in both wins and stats (yds, TDs, etc). He beat a Saban-coached Bama team twice, and the team seemed to step up a notch both times he replaced Lee (as a freshman, and in 2011). Given what we asked our QBs to do before Burrow, I don't think he deserves the hate he gets here, and probably should have been listed in the "most underappreciated Tiger" thread.
Some people love to bitch about the bar fight, but from what I read about that, it sounds like he was actually doing the right thing.
I'm glad his family still came to LSU. Wouldn't have shocked me if they'd have gone elsewhere, as bad as he gets ragged on.

Jefferson threw for 4,733 yards and 34 touchdowns during his career.
As of 2020, he ranks sixth for career wins by a starting quarterback at LSU with 24, and is tied for seventh in LSU history in passing touchdowns (34) and as of the end of his career was sixth in rushing touchdowns by a quarterback (12).
As of 2020, he is eighth in LSU history in career passing yards (4,733), and at the end of his career was eighth in completion percentage (58.7), sixth in career completions (398), and sixth in attempts (678).
Jefferson holds the LSU record for rushing yards by a quarterback with 1,018 yards.
As a sophomore in 2009, Jefferson was the youngest starting quarterback in the SEC and the youngest to start a season-opener for LSU since Y. A. Tittle in 1945.
