This staff is not gonna open up the play book and burn teams by 50-60 points. No point. Get up big and work on your routes and the basics. We'll see some different things next week.

i partly agree

they also think because of the inexperience, they have to practice the things that they want to work. why hold back if you dont know what they are capable of?

You know.....three yards and a cloud of dust would work this year to win games:

If we had a strong defense. THey looked VERY susceptible to short passing routes and Hawkins was picked on.

We say this every year...

Then go to AU and run ball run the run the ball...that was Jimbo, we shall see

AU has a very good D, I think maybe we do try to run right at them.. Power and wear them down...versus letting them t it up

Scott is the perfect player for this next game....

shoulda came out throwing deeper routes, got timing down then shut it down and let scott run for 200 yards.... but we didnt b/c we are very poor in any pass longer then 7 yards..... but we got time to get it right as log as Aubby and Moo U stay just as inept in passing game as us.....

[quote]I don't know if i agree with this anymore i used too, but i don't see any other teams okla, usc, florida, keeping it fricking vanilla. they beat you straight up with better players. lord knows auburn was not showing it's hand and oops they almost lost. Maybe auburn offense just sucks and maybee ours is not as good as we think either.

its the SECOND game played 2 weeks after the first...who is to say we are not playing very vanilla on defense as well...furthermore who in the SEC really scares you through the air besides florida and georgia

WE SHOULD RUN THE TRIPLE frickING OPTION

either auburn REALLY sucks on offense or they are REALLY holding back for our game.

Tonight we had 8 different players run the ball (including QBs). They racked up 216 yards and 4 TDs. On top of that, 7 different receivers touched the ball with 20 receptions for 209 yards. Granted, NT was not Auburn, but I think they are spreading the ball around treating these first couple of games as scrimmages. Too bad we didn't have a Virginia Tech this year to really test where we are at before conference play!

yea but LSU needs to utilize the RB's alot more and I think they will after tonight to open up the passing game, Jarrett Lee can stay on the sidelines, but what a slap in the face of jordan jefferson put in to kneel the ball, they are saying they arent gona redshirt him then why not give him p/t when Jarrett Lee sucks so bad...

I understand. They have tape from last year. we have guys in different positions and some we dont know about. Auburn didn't scare but they did what they could to win.

don't agree, if your gonna have a exciting back like KW on the team, and not get him reps to get into the groove, what a waste.

whens the last time you saw him carry the ball from behind the line of scrimmage and describe it as "exciting"?

I just said the guy hardly touches the ball enough to get into rythm, if he was on another SEC team, he'll be there primary back.

I agree. he would be starting at any other school in the country exept maybe usc. I am also hoping tolliver remains patient and does not transfer. I mean if i was the number one reciver and still was getting no playing time in year two i would be pissed.
