god awful headliners .... Metallica gets a pass because at that point they had been doing it for nearly 20 years. And had talent.
But Korn, Limp B, Kid Rock, DMX and Rage. So gross. And jamming in Jewell, Alanis and Sheryl? Also gross because they were so tired by that year as well.
I imagine if Coldplay, Radiohead and REM were headliners it would have been a different result.
Bring shitty, aggressive bands and get shitty, aggressive fandom. Documentary was an interesting time capsule of heinousness.

What's sad is that music hasn't improved any since then. We're on a 25+ year run of pure garbage, at least as far as what's popular goes.
