Hunkered down here in Tomball, Tx. Winds around 40mph right now, waiting for the big ones (80-90mph) around 3am. Cable is out, but I'm still on the net. Fellow Tigers, we need your prayers for safety. Can't get to the game on Sat. and can't watch, as power will be toast. Ya'll make sure that we kick some NT butt and I'll read about it later.

Hang in there Tomball. I have a friend in Katy with a business in Tomball area. I just checked on them. Keep your head low.

Thanks, TigerMike! Hope we have power sooner than 9 days. If not, I'm heading back home to La. where at least i can get some of my mom's great food and have an A/C for sleeping.

Thanks! We'll be ok here and Katy area will be fine. Probably some tree damage, and if trees can miss my house, then we'll be fine. My kids are a bit spooked, but my wife and mom-in-law made it through Betsy in '64 and Camille in '69, so they're seasoned vets of these crazy things.

I am in Sugar Land, power still on knock on wood.
I have a generator and Direct TV so I plan on watching the game tomorrow.

I cannot believe I have missed the first THREE weeks of football in Death Valley.

We still have power too! Wish I lived on your side of town! I am trying to talk my neighbor into letting me put my generator at his house tomorrow and watch the Tigers on his DirectTV. I need to see some Tiger football!!

Good for you. Friends said they were out of power and asked how long we were out of power for the last few storms we had. When I said a week, the line got quiet. Maybe they got it back by now, I'll chat today with them. Hang in there.

I remember going thru both of those hurricanes. Why am I thinking Betsy was in 65???
