Went to Carbide Camp, as in Union Carbide, as a kid in WV. I was 8 years old around 1981. I believe I was there for two weeks, maybe more. We had cabins with bunk beds and a counselor assigned to each cabin. They had a boys camp and girls camp. We had Horseback riding, archery, BB guns (aka riflery), arts and crafts, had a pool on site, graveyard "ghost" hikes, camp fires where the counselors would play guitar and sing songs. That's where I first heard Cats in the Cradle. Had a huge game of war/capture the flag with the other camp. Gift packages from your parents. I went there with another kid and he left after like the first day. It was pretty much like every summer camp movie you watched growing up. Minus Camp Crystal Lake. One of the best times of my childhood looking back.
