They are going to need an accounting department so these athletes do not end up in tax trouble.

I don’t know if it’s “sponsorship coordinators” persay, but I do think SIDs of each sport or sports will have completely different roles in the coming years. There will no longer be a “traditional” SID role. I think NIL will change the scope of how SIDs are utilized and who is qualified to be an SID in the future.

That responsibility is on the players. The school can advise them on what to do but the players have to do it.
NIL is not a part of the university. It is the players being their own independent contractor outside of their responsibilities of being a student-athlete for the university.
