Super frustrating. I had times when I wandered across an enemy I was underpowered to face, tried to fight him because I couldn’t easily escape, and broke all my weapons and died over and over again until I figured out how to run away. The weapons degradation combined with the relatively small inventory that you start with was so frustrating.

However, this did not ruin the game for me. I absolutely loved exploring the world and climbing the towers. While a few puzzles in the temples and sacred beasts really frustrated me (especially that lightening beast), I managed to plow through and got an immense level of satisfaction and accomplishment from finding creative ways to solve obstacles.

It’s one of the few big games like that which I have actually completed the story mode.
