Whether or not we should visit Dubrovnik will be a key part of our decision-making because of it's location.

How difficult is it to get to/from Hvar? Difficult enough to make it worth staying more than 2 days?

Dubrovnik is one of those places that i'm glad I can say I went but I won't ever go back. Hvar is one of those places where we booked 2 days and once we got there we were trying to figure out how we could rearrange our trip to make it 3

If you absolutely have to go see Dubrovnik, I think you can hit all the highlights in a full day and be satisfied. We enjoyed ourself so much more everywhere else we went. Much more cultural immersion other places. The entire coastline is beautiful so by the time you get to Dubrovnik at the end of your trip it's just meh. Maybe book your flight out of Dubrovnik and just make a fast pass through on your way to the airport so you can say you went.

To answer your question though, I don't think the ferries are too much trouble for two days in Hvar. That's what we did and i'm glad we went.

The passenger ferry to Hvar town port takes 50 minutes. If you take the car ferry, that drops you at another town on the island of Hvar called Stari Grad. You then have to drive to Hvar town from there or wherever else you want to go.

Eta: meant to reply to other guy. I'm sure you know this already since you did it
