Great trip report! Knowing what you know today Mr. Makers, where's the one place you'd say "man, I just gotta go back there"?
We noodle an Adriatic Coast type trip in a few years for my son's birthday and these topics are of keen interest to me.

My answer: The little pebble beach off the beaten path we stumbled upon by accident on Pag Island was incredible. We had it to ourself. The water was insane, the views of the mountains from the beach were insane. I still don't even understand how we managed to find that. I wouldn't have noticed the path leading to it had we not stopped and talked to a stranger. There's a few pics of it in my recap. Here is another pic I pulled from Google that I think does it some justice.
We were stationed in Zadar, loved that city. Great food, great culture. This beach and the island of Pag were only an hour drive. And the views along the drive between the two were incredible as well. I'd do it exactly how we did it last time, stay in Zadar but make a day trip to Pag. Perfect mix of Croatian culture and scenic views.
My wife's answer: While she did also enjoy my choice, her favorite was Hvar (with a stop in Split before getting on the ferry).
