If they did, then they could not get electoral votes from Florida which could cause a pretty big issue.

More specifically they couldn't both get the EV ftom Florida. Each elector has to vote for either a President or Veep who isn't from Florida.
Bush and Cheney got around it by having Cheney move back to Wyoming.
