The only rivalry I could imagine is which of these two cities have the lamest skyline.

Both just slightly more impressive than Baton Rouge's

Two of those skyscrapers in Memphis are abandoned, and at least one is condemned. Don’t think Nashville (or Baton Rouge) has any like that.

Despite that, I like the way Memphis looks from the river.

Baton Rouge has a decent little skyline with the riverfront. I think the days of new office towers are over for a while. It will see some new mid rise hotels and apartments, but no more skyscrapers.

How about posting a recent picture of the Nashville skyline? There are like 20 new buildings miss from that photo.

I grew up in Memphis and live in Nashville now. There is definitely a rivalry. The state hates Memphis bc it’s a tri state city. The rest of TN doesn’t like funding the city bc it claims the money isn’t going to TN. I love Memphis and it definitely has some charm but overall it sucks. The food scene sucks, the nightlife isn’t great and the city is extremely spread out. The poster who said Memphis is nice but most people stay bc family connections is certainly correct.

Nashville is a transient city now but in 10 years will rival Atlanta.

Nashville skyline looks absolutely nothing like that now. Probably 20-30 more buildings. It’s unrecognizable.
