It is important to note the press want to frame this policy as “anti-same sex”, but CSS will not place kids in the homes of ANY unmarried couple.
Their policy is stated below and is in keeping with the teaching of the Catholic Church.
“ CSS holds the religious belief that marriage is a sacred bond between a man and a woman. Because CSS believes that certification of prospective foster families is an en- dorsement of their relationships, it will not certify unmarried cou- ples—regardless of their sexual orientation—or same-sex married cou- ples.”

The same people who love saying "Don't like Twitter? Go somewhere else!" are mad that prospective parents can go somewhere else in the city of Philadelphia for adoptions.

As a member of the Alphabet Mafia:
1. CSS stated that they have never even been contacted by a gay or lesbian couple.
2. They are incredibly clear that they only place kids in homes that have a marriage per Catholic rules.
3. "CSS does not object to certifying gay or lesbian individuals as single foster parents or to placing gay and lesbian children."
This is less about the gays and more about shutting up some individual that had a vendetta against this particular organization.
There are already 20+ organizations in Philadelphia alone to service all couples - so this is not a situation where there is a denial of service for a City resident.
This is a nothingburger. Go on about your day, everyone.
edit: I do not like the Catholic Church, but if I want my rights then they deserve theirs. Either we are all realistically free together - or we are all in chains together. Pick one.
