LA ranked around 19th for our tax burden but at or around 50th in infrastructure, education, etc. link

I'll never advocate for more taxes until I can trust them to spend the money efficiently.

Our sales taxes are pretty high, but I honestly prefer them to property taxes. I'd be okay with a gasoline/diesel tax dedicated to roads. But maybe that's a cherry the local governments can try to pick.

We need to lower the income taxes in Louisiana.
