This is really no different than the 10,000 word thesis listing every possible side effect that could ever possibly happen printed on the back of every drug fact sheet you get with every prescription you pick up.
At least the commercials help inform the patient of most available options. From personal experience, some doctors just don't want to even consider anything that they haven't thought of or are not informed on.
