quote:Yeah, next year they have 110 mil on the books guaranteed with LeBron, AD, KCP, Kuzma, Gasol, and Deng's dead money. They can't sign anyone outside of using the MLE. They don't really have assets to trade for an impact player either, and I don't see anyone really valuing Kuzma or KCP as an asset. They are decent players who are probably slightly overpaid.
Yea he signed a 2 year extension so he is signed till 22’23. 41m cap hit 21’22 and 44m 22’23. They will have 95m tied up with LeBron, Streetclothes and Kuzma in 2022’23

Then strangely enough Schroeder might still have them bent over a barrel.
Since he can basically come back to LA with his highest offer and say you guys need to beat it or good luck with Caruso, Austin Rivers, or Raul Neto as your replacement.

Their delusional fans think Pelinka can perform miracles since they lucked into a Mickey Mouse title even though in reality they got trade raped. They think Pelinka can get off of KCP and Kuzma even though the only positive asset they have is this years 1st round pick. They are both slightly below averasge assets at best so some team would have to go out of their way to help them. Barring an act of god they will be worse next year with an aging LeBron and AD with a longer injury history that will start lowering his ceiling if it hasn’t already.
