i can explain it pretty simply. salesmen are used to dealing with fricking idiots and get away with it most of the time. its not that i feel like i'm always trying to get ripped off but the tactics and the path it takes to negotiate a deal is pretty insulting most of the time. My last purchase was very pleasant. All email. Drove to Houston, in and out dealership in 2 hours and drove home.

Cool. Glad to hear it. I bet not telling them to frick off helped smooth the process a little bit lol
