We can have a discussion about the pros and cons of the role of the federal reserve and it’s monetary policies if you want. For the record, I share your concern.

Are you suggesting that we are living in a society where ALL control of money is held by the Federal Reserve, in the same way in which Socialist forms of government control not only the money but also all economic decisions?

True, our free market economy is far from totally free (in some respects, that’s a blessing), but we are FAR from a command economy.
